  2. Temporary issues with database servers Feb 3, 2012 at 11:50 am

    We are currently experiencing some problems with our SQL database servers. This can affect accounts in various ways, e.g. malfunctions of export.

    Our team is working on this and we hope to resolve this shortly. I will post updates as soon as they are available.

  4. Payment processing problems today between 8:59 am to 11:30 am EST

    Our hosting company had some equipment configuration problems today which resulted in payment errors for some clients. Basically, secure Https traffic was not directed to the right servers. This was not the case for everyone, it depended on what particular web server happened to be handling your transaction.

    We have been working with them to fix it and payments are processing OK since 11:30 am.

  5. Character | in event title or location can lead to incorrect online payment record from Authorize.Net

    We have discovered a bug when a character | (vertical separator) is used in the event title. Since this character is used by Authorize.Net as field separator, our system receives incorrect set of fields in the Authorize.Net payment confirmation. This can cause online payment to be not recorded or recorded with a wrong amount in Wild Apricot (even though the correct amount was charged)

    For now, please avoid using it in event titles, event location, membership level names and any extra charges. In fact, ideally avoid using it in any fields except for text descriptions fields.

  6. Hardware maintenance Jan 27th 1 am EST

    We are ramping up our hosting infrastructure (servers/firewalls/switches etc) to increase the speed and reliability of Wild Apricot system.

    Installation and configuration of some additional hardware will be performed on Jan 27th at 1am EST - the night of Thursday to Friday.

    Total maintenance window is scheduled to be up to 1 hour. Any users would be disconnected and lose their session data (e.g. application forms/registration forms/email or page edits etc.).

    We recommend saving your work and logging off for the full duration of maintenance window.

    Server maintenance is planned for Jan 26, 2011. Expected downtime is up to 3 hours from 3:00 am EST (Toronto/New York).We will be applying several error fixes for 4.3 release. This update changes how we calculate and store email delivery stats. Once it is applied, emails stats for previously sent emails from all accounts will have to be recalculated. This transition might take up to a few days.   10. Authorize.net recurring payments suspended between Dec 23 and Dec 27

    Due to a bug being fixed which affects several clients, we had to suspend processing of all Authorize.net recurring payments for all clients for a few days.

    Thus, from Friday Dec 23 till Tue Dec 27 no recurring payments will be processed via Authorize.Net and member renewal dates might become overdue.

    Once we publish the update 4.3.2, system will automatically resume processing those recurring payments and 'catch up' all the payments that have should have been charged in the previous several days.

  13. Version 4.3 Upgrade on December 14th from 2:50 am to 6:50 am Eastern time

    On Wed December 14th we will be upgrading Wild Apricot to version 4.3. All accounts will be upgraded automatically. (We will also maintain full backups from before the upgrade, just in case.)

    Servers will be taken off-line intermittently from 2:50 am to 6:50 am Eastern time. Please save your work and log out in advance - and notify other users in your organization as appropriate.

  18. Firefox 7 Upload file problem resolved

    FYI to all clients - recent upgrade of Firefox 7 broke Wild Apricot file upload manager so files could not be uploaded in Firefox. This has been fixed in our update overnight and file upload now works correctly in Firefox 7.

  20. Network connectivity problems evening of Sat Oct 1st 2011

    Around 5:30 pm EST today our monitoring systems have noticed problems with network connectivity to our servers (intermittent routing problems).

    This meant that Wild Apricot websites would take long time to load - or even not load at all.

    We have immediately contacted our data center provider, they confirmed the problem and they were already working on it.

    As of now, at 8:30 pm EST it looks like like normal connectivity has been restored.

    Depending on a server and your location, our monitoring systems indicate downtime between 40-60 minutes.
