I'm running into the same issue with our Trade organization. There's not much financial tracking for the "donations" side and we don't really take donations, but have sponsors. The major difference is that "donations" are tax deductible and "sponsorships" may or may not be tax deductible. Your software produces a donation receipt which makes it seem deductible, for those of us who work in trade organizations, sponsorships for education are deductible but sponsorship for legislation or lobbying is NOT deductible. Hope this helps :)

    Team Mobile responded

After initial analysis we decided to remove this feature from 2017 plans. Right now we don’t have clear understanding when this feature will be taken into development.

SMS could certainly be an alternative to this! Is Wild Apricot currently equipped to do SMS messages? I did comment on that wishlist/suggestion, as well. I'd certainly like to know when SMS becomes available and would sign up for a seminar to learn how to use it :) Thanks!

Our members are on the road a lot, as travel is a major part of our industry. So, emails get overlooked or don't get seen for 2-3 days sometimes. We've used www.dialmycalls.com to record a voice message and sent out a mass telephone call blast to the members the day of a meeting to remind them, or asking them to respond to an urgent call to action. It would be easier and better if this was function in Wild Apricot, you record a voice clip to file and instead of emailing it out, it would dial all the phone numbers of the members and play the voice clip to them on the telephone, then hangs up when it's done.

I think this is a great idea. Sometimes, our members are actually starting a whole new "contact" in our database because they register for an event without signing in. I've recently deleted a number of duplicate contacts in our database that were just from these types of registrations. I think some of this has been fixed, because I do get a notification when I try to register one of my employees under my email address... but if I weren't logged in, it would start a new contact to register me as a non-member.
