Sorry for the late update.
The first step was finished and emails can now be carbon copied to contact’s alternative emails. To do so the contact fields which store the alternative emails must be explicitly marked on the email setting page.
Unsubscribing will unsubscribe all alternative emails simultaneously because they all belong to the very same account. The person clicking “unsubscribe” is warned about this on the unsubscribe page.
For now we paused the development of this feature. but not for good. :) So I’m changing this wish status back to “collecting comments”.

I second this idea!
The existing address entry capabilities are rather limiting. In addition to overall address validation, it would be good to fill out city and state based on a given zip code, for example. There are good opportunities for improvement here.
Yes, just came to this site for the express purpose of requesting this feature. This could be a simple as picking a Saved Member Search to add to a Member Group. It should not be a difficult feature, and would have great utility. The Member Group feature is a bit anemic right now, since you have to pick folks one by one.
