An error occurred while saving the comment An error occurred while saving the comment Arthur Dixon commentedAbout the awkwardness of the new toolbar and folder scheme.
I was trying to link a file to an image and got a way to do so from one of the staff, but it is extremely awkward and time consuming. Here is the comment I sent to the person who gave me the workaround. Thanks for this. It works. But it is a very awkward and roundabout process. I would like to recommend that you go back to the old way. That would include a way to link a file to an image from the toolbar.
It would be really good if one could create a folder, say, for January 2020. and load all the images and files I want to use in that file and have the file structure arranged that the same folder comes up during any given session of email creation. The process you recommend requires quite elaborate navigation away from the email creator, to webmail, back and then back again to do another link. And one has to re-navigate to the correct folder again and again. This is not an improvement.
Please work this out so things are easier, not harder than they used to be. This is not progress for those of us working on things like email blasts.

An error occurred while saving the comment Arthur Dixon commentedAlso, there is now way to create a new folder while working on an email. One has to go back to Website/Files to create a folder and upload multiple files. Very difficult. Please restore the old way.

An error occurred while saving the comment Arthur Dixon commentedI think this may be the same issue. I want to link a file I have uploaded to an image and cannot find a way to do that.
Also, I agree with the inflexibility of text around an inline image. Very disappointing if that capability is gone. Perhaps I just haven't found it.

Restore old email toolbar so one can attach a file as well as a url to an image. It seems to work fine in the website editor.
Make it so that while editing an email during an editing session, the same folder comes up when going to add an image, a pdf or any kind of file.
To link a file to an image takes the following steps with the new toolbar and file structure:
1. close the email
2. navigate to website link and then files link.
3. find the right folder (which will need to be found the next time one wants to create such a link.
4.open the folder
5 find the file.
6 right click
7. copy the link from Properties
8. navigate back to the email list
9. open the email you were working on
8. select the image
9. click on properties
10 paste the url.
It used to take about 3 clicks to do this.
Please restore things.
Thanks very much.
