Renew memberships after X number of event attendances
We offer a membership which is based on a member 10 events of their choice from our selection of events. Once they have attended 10 events they have the option to renew their membership for a further 10. This is a very manual process for us and there is no easy way of reporting or checking when members have reached their 10 event limit other than going into each members record, and chasing them fro a further payment. If we could have a report of how many events each member has attended since their last payment, this would be terrific.…

Email to archived members to persuade them to rejoin
During a campaign for new members, ability to send an e-mail or newsletter say once a year to our former members in the archive to persuade them to rejoin.
1 voteUnfortunately, it means that you’ll have to keep them in database, not archiving. Sending emails, keeping history of sent emails requires computing resources and this is why we take database size into pricing.

see the last time a member logged in and who has downloaded a document
I would like to see if a board member has logged into the website and downloaded their board packet. This is the only way my Board has asked that board packets be available, as they have said they get too many emails and know they can go on and get the document at will. The problem is they don't, and end up voting for things they have no knowledge about. I could nip that if I knew which ones were not downloaded their packet and review ahead of time.
1 voteSorry. this is a very specific requirement and I do not see us doing this in the nearest future.

When a person who is not a member (may have attended a program and has a login) views their profile the "Membership details" section does not show up at all. Is there a way to have it show up and let the person know they are not a member and have a link to the membership page so that they can become one? Many people forget if they are a member or not and any way to remind them they are not a member and give them an opportunity to become one is appreciated.
1 voteFrankly, I don’t think we’re going to do this anytime soon for a number of reasons, one of them is that there can be multiple number of application pages and overall setup of such a feature in the profile can be very complicated.
But you can apply a good workaround right now: customize contact profile page using “System pages” in “Website” tab, looks for “Contact profile” system page. This is the page that system uses to generate content for both your member and contacts. You can add some content there – like a link to member application page. Surely, members will see this too, but it’s a good enough workaround. Something like “Not a member? Join!” where Join is a link to application page.

Member to member links and associations
Hi - we are already using the 'bundle' feature to allow families to be managed by one family administrator. However, our society rule is that once someone turns 18, they have to have and pay for their own separate subscription. If an 18 year old family member still lives at the same address but maybe has a different name, it is not immediately obvious that they are still linked to that family unit. Just wondering whether there was a feature that allowed individuals such as this to still be associated with a family bundle albeit under their own subscription? Bundle-lite?

Find Archived members
I would love an easy way to access a list of archived members.
1 voteYou can create a saved search for archived members and use it anytime you need to see the list. Or, you can use Quick filter dropdown in Contact list.

Allow members to be manually added to more than one event at a time
I have to manually add members to an event. As most members attend four quarterly meetings a year, I have to add each member individually to four different meetings. This becomes extremely time consuming as we have over 13 boards that meet four times a year. It would be great if we would have the options to click on all the events we would like that member to be added to (or removed from).
Thank you,

members directory vs professional directory
It would be very useful if our members directory could be viewed in multiple ways. In particular, we would like our professional members' profiles to be accessible by the public (we call this our professional directory), but our student profiles to be accessible by members only.
Unfortunately, our student members' cannot fill many relevant fields because we do not want them to appear in our professional directory.1 voteYou can setup multiple member directories with different content and different permissions/fields.

Recurring Payment Add-on
My company is not big enough for the Community payment plan and do not need any of the additional features other than the ability to have recurring payments. It would be nice if this was an add-on capability between Group and Community memberships.
1 voteUnfortunately, this is exactly why we separated this particular feature (recurring payments) into higher plan.

Allow negative day(s) offsets in Renewal Policy
Our club needs to send out renewal invoices and reminders on or after the renewal date, not before. It would seem easy :) to implement this by allowing negative day(s) offsets in the Renewal Policy.
We send renewal notices on the renewal date. The member remains in good standing for 60 days, after which they have a short grace period and then become lapsed.
This could be entered on the Renewal Policy by sending the invoice 0 days before renewal date, following up with a reminder 30 days after the renewal date, and then sending the grace period notice 60…
1 voteThis looks like an exceptional case and no one has commented on this for quite some time. I believe that as a workaround you can use “Renewal day email notice” email as a first reminder, then “Grace period email notice” sent after 30 days as a second reminder and then “Lapsed email” after 60 days to set status to Lapsed.

New member password
A very nice feature would be the ability to allow the administrator to designate the password for all new members. I find that when they join, they do not make a note of the generated password nor do they go right out and log in. Latter when they want to sign up for an event or look for information contained in the member only side of the site, they cannot get in because they don't know the password. I accept that we must be somewhat of a babysitter and that people will have problems. We communicate with them in newsletters…
1 voteSorry, this is a security risk – you’re going to use a predefined password and members won’t change it, so there is a good chance that someone can use it and tamper with personal data. Also, there have been no activity here for quite a while.

Custom Reminder
within my organisation people are required to have specific qualifications up to date to maintain membership. For example, they must have a level 2 first aid certification. However people get these at different times, and after a period people must renew the certification.
The system in place for renewing membership looks great. it would be even better to be able to use this not just to renew membership. but to be set up to remind people when other things they need to update come along as well. having an option in the contact database to add a date and have…

Event Data Available in Macro
I would like to have a history of event registrations available in a macro. I created a template for our non renewals. I want to show the value of their membership and past activity with CCN. Right now I have to copy/paste their activity into the template.
Here is an example:
From: Christian Coaches Network [mailto:admin@scroll.christiancoaches.com admin@scroll.christiancoaches.com ]
Subject: CCN Events and RenewalMarcie,
Our system told us that your renewal is past due. I'm just checking to see if perhaps you had a technical glitch with our renewal process or maybe you have a question about your renewal.
…
1 voteIn your scenario, you will have send such an email manually – as you do not know for sure if a member has had any events history. To do it properly, there should be conditional logic – like "if there are events, then send , otherwise " – and this is totally different ball game.
Sorry, there have been no activity here for quite a while and I’m closing the suggestion. -
Automatically adjust join date to 1st of month
I would like the option to have join dates automatically set to the 1st of the month; the simplest is the 1st of the current month; more fancy option is 1st of current month if joined in the first half of the month, else 1st of next month.
Would also like for same logic to apply on renewals.
Thanks,

Automated Profile Picture Extraction
It would be great to have an automated way of exporting all pictures, with file names identifying them ( by Member ID), into a single directory.
This is to use these pictures for ID cards.
At present each picture needs to be right-clicked, save-imaged, and given a file name

Limitation on Number of Times You Can Renew at a Certain Level
I would like to see a function that would allow us to limit how many times someone can renew at a certain membership level. For example, we have a student member rate and I would love to only allow them to renew at this level twice, forcing them to then renew at our professional rate the next time they renew. Since most students only take 2-3 years to become professionals in my field, this would prevent people from joining and renewing at a lower rate.

Adding links to member profile pictures [11684]
We are looking at the possibility of adding QR codes to member profiles. This can be done very easily via the member picture option. It works just fine, I can create QR and insert codes to go to websites, pull up google location maps or send SMS messages.
What would be nice is to do something if the site visitor mouse-clicks on the QR code rather than scans it. Simply being able to add a "normal link" to a URL or email address would be a great start and as this can be done anywhere else on the site, hopefully…
1 voteSorry, it looks like we’re not going to do this.
