  6. Version 3.4 known problems

    Unfortunately even with a month of testing we went through, when version 3.4 was launched in live environment a number of problem was identified. I will use this thread to list the known high priority problem, workarounds and our work on fixes.

    1) Link tracking in previously sent emails might not work (while link tracking for newly created emails works fine). Our team is working on a fix and we expect to deploy it by Tuesday morning march 30th. There is no workaround.

    2) After login people are not returned to whatever page they started login from. This means they…

  7. Upcoming upgrade to version 3.4 on March 28th, 2010

    Our next upgrade - version 3.4 - is planned for Sunday, March 28h, 2010

    Servers will be taken off-line intermittently from 1:00 am to 8:00 am, Eastern time (GMT-5). Make sure to save your work and log out in advance. Please notify other users in your organization as appropriate.

    Key changes in upcoming version 3.4 :
    * Pro-rating of membership fees for partial periods. E.g. if your renewal date is fixed to January 1 and someone joins on June 30th, system can automatically pro-rate membership fee to 6 months worth (July-December).

  8. Incidents of Internal error messages on event and membership forms

    A number of clients have reported "Internal error" messages when trying to register for event or use membership application form.

    Our team is investigating this and we expect to resolve this in the near future.

    In our own tests this works correctly on all the client sites so this indicates and issue with our server farm - meaning that this error will affect a portion of your visitors while others will have no problems processing transactions.

  9. Intermittent slowdowns due to launch prepations

    We are on the final stretch preparing for version 3.4 update (currently scheduled for Monday March 29th).

    Due to the nature of updates (e.g. changes in file storage architecture), some of the final tests have to involve some of our 'live' servers. This ensures a smooth version launch by checking for possible incompatibilities with server software.

    Thus in the next few days some clients might encounter short slowdown periods - when some pages or functions are responding slower than usual.

    Most active testing windows are scheduled for 2 am to 5 am on March 24th and 25th but short slowdowns…

  10. System downtime night of February 19th due to data center move

    Dear clients,

    Our datacenter is undergoing some upgrades and this requires moving all our servers to a new physical location.

    This move is scheduled for night of Friday 19th at 11pm EST

    Expected downtime for Wild Apricot service is 3 hours.

    Please make sure to log out in advance.

    This migration has been planned extensively over the past 6 months and the procedure has been rehearsed and timed on test equipment to verify duration and to test procedural order and contingencies.

  13. Brief service interruption on Sunday Jan 10th at 6:55pm EST for 10 minutes

    On Sunday January 10th at 6:55pm we had to restart our web servers in to resolve a problem with link tracking which was affecting a number of clients.

    For most sites downtime was 2-3 minutes, total combined downtime was 10 minutes.We apologize for the inconvenience and we will be following up with our hosting provider about this outage.

  14. Problems with link tracking in emails

    We have a number of reports from our clients about problems with link tracking in emails

    (see http://help.wildapricot.com/display/DOC/Tracking+link+click-throughs )

    It looks like this feature is malfunctioning for a number of clients.

    We are investigating this and will release a fix as soon as we can - but for now we advise to refrain from using link tracking feature.

  19. Service interruption on November 5th

    On November 5th at 12:35 (EST) our hosting data center experienced major network outage. As a result, all client website as well as Wild Apricot own websites were inaccessible for 20 minutes.

    Our monitoring systems have alerted us right away and we have contacted our data hosting provider immediately. We were informed that this is data center-wide outage and it is being worked on by emergency team.

    Full service to all websites was restored in 20 minutes and all our systems are now back online.
