I’m making this not just about events, but other lists too – this is a common usability problem.

We have a job announcement that is due by Dec. 3, and this is a regular type of thing that we post to our members (could be a scholarship deadline, a call for abstracts, etc - all of which has a deadline). It would be a huge time saver to be able to list a date after which the post is no longer visible or even automatically deleted. This would also help our site to look fresh even if we are not updating it :)
Here is example: http://arabicstudiesonline.org/announcements
Thanks!

Searched but cannot find if this is possible, we have an announcement with a deadline and would love for the blog post to automatically be hidden or deleted the day after the deadline.

Thanks for this tip (twitterfeed) - we are considering this and it looks like it would work for our needs!
We also post eventsof interest to our members (but not our events which use the event tool) in a blog and also would prefer this reverse feature so oldest posts are on top. Please look into this!
