1. Problems with link tracking in emails

   We have a number of reports from our clients about problems with link tracking in emails

   (see http://help.wildapricot.com/display/DOC/Tracking+link+click-throughs )

   It looks like this feature is malfunctioning for a number of clients.

   We are investigating this and will release a fix as soon as we can - but for now we advise to refrain from using link tracking feature.

4. Upgrade to 3.3 on Dec 14th, Monday - server downtime notice

   Our next upgrade - version 3.3 - is planned for Monday, Dec 14th, 2009

   Servers will be taken off-line intermittently from 2:50 am to 6:00 am, Eastern time (GMT-5 hours). Make sure to save your work and log out in advance. Please notify other users in your organization as appropriate.

   Summary of key changes in upcoming version 3.3 : Ability to register multiple people for an event in a single transaction; Member directory redesign, including: new 'browsing mode', ability to define fields used in advanced search, using saved searches to select included records, option to only list bundle administrators, usage of keyword search together with browsing or advanced search; Full-blown editing and formatting of tables within Wild Apricot; Using WYSIWYG editor within iframes — for example, if you use widgets to embed a blog or discussion forum into another website; Recurring payments via Authorize.Net; New gadget — 'Donation Goal Tracking'; Ability to display a list of event attendees on the event page; Routing of different types of system emails to different people; Automatic checking of custom domains settings; and Revision of access by roles.

6. Service interruption on November 5th

   On November 5th at 12:35 (EST) our hosting data center experienced major network outage. As a result, all client website as well as Wild Apricot own websites were inaccessible for 20 minutes.

   Our monitoring systems have alerted us right away and we have contacted our data hosting provider immediately. We were informed that this is data center-wide outage and it is being worked on by emergency team.

   Full service to all websites was restored in 20 minutes and all our systems are now back online.

   We apologize for the inconvenience and we will be following up with our hosting provider about this outage.

   On November 5th at 12:35 (EST) our hosting data center experienced major network outage. As a result, all client website as well as Wild Apricot own websites were inaccessible for 20 minutes.

10. Change of IP address - important

    This applies to all clients using custom domains which are setup via our IP address 206.196.16.30.

    Due to upgrades in our network it is necessary to update the IP address used in the settings of your custom domain(s)

    You need to update the IP address in your domain registrar DNS server settings as soon as possible. The old IP address will continue to work in the nearest future in parallel with the new one, but it is very
    important to switch ASAP to avoid any possible interruptions to the service.

    Old IP address: 206.196.16.30
    Should be changed to NEW IP address: 66.29.208.61

    We have also sent out emails to all affected customers on this matter.

16. Service interruption night of 25th to 26th August

    When it rains, it pours....

    On August 25th at 10:11 pm (EST) our monitoring systems recorded a problem accessing our servers. Our engineers were immediately notified and got to work on the problem. The problem was traced down to a critical piece of hardware - so-called 'load balancer', device which directs traffic to various servers handling the traffic to client sites. The device has malfunctioned and shut down. We worked with the data hosting center to have this problem resolved and unfortunately it took a while to restore the service.

    Service was back to normal at 3:05 am on August 26th (total downtime 4:53). During this time none of the client sites were reachable.

    This is the first time ever we had an incidents of the duration and scope like this and obviously this not acceptable for a web-based service like Wild Apricot.The only saving grace was that this happened during the night time in North America, which is the time of the lowest traffic to our client sites.

    Please accept our sincere apologies and be assured that our team will be working to find the ways to prevent any similar occurrences in the future (even though our datahosting center engineers said it was an extremely rare freak situation they never had before).

17. Short service interruption on August 25th

    On August 25th at 14:47 (EST) one of our web servers malfunctioned and rebooted which affected a number of clients served by this particular machine. Total downtime for the machine was 22 minutes until 15:09 - though service interruption for most clients was much shorter (typically a few minutes) as they were rerouted to other serves in the meantime.
