3. Email and site theme glitches from Maintenance update

   After the maintenance update early this morning, we experienced email glitches that may have affected the ability to send manual email blasts, view emails sent, missing preview button etc.

   The issue was resolved, however if you are still experiencing any email problems, please try to refresh your page (F5) and this should resolve any further issues.

5. Version 4.4 upgrade on Sunday July 8th 2:50 am- 8:50 am (i.e. overnight from Saturday)

   The Wild Apricot v4.4 upgrade is scheduled for Sunday July 8th 2:50 am - 8:50 am (i.e. overnight from Saturday July 7th). Servers will be taken off-line intermittently from 2:50 am to 8:50 am, Eastern time (GMT-5).
   Please save your work and log out in advance - and notify other users in your organization as appropriate. As always, all accounts will be updated automatically - no action is needed on your part. We will also maintain full backups of your data before the upgrade for any troubleshooting.
   Version 4.4 enhancements include:

   • Email templates. A large selection of professionally designed email templates for member newsletters and other email blasts, including templates targeted for mobile viewing.
   • With other email enhancements (auto-saving of event drafts, editing of event recipients), Emails is now a new tab in the main admin menu.
   • Sales taxes. Sales taxes (applied on top of prices) and value-added taxes (included in prices) are now supported. Taxes can be applied to membership, event and manual invoices.
   • Routing of event emails to a designated person separately for each event.
   • Secure site access with HTTPS.
   • Updated online payment options - including PayPal Express Checkout, PayPal Direct Payment and Google Wallet.
   • Date type fields.

10. FYI: PayPal maintenance notice April 19, 2012 10 pm - 11pm PDT

    If you are using PayPal with Wild Apricot, please be informed about upcoming PayPal maintenance:

    To better serve our millions of customers, PayPal is upgrading our data center on April 19, 2012 from 10:00 p.m. PDT to approximately 11:00 p.m. PDT. Preparations for the migration will begin at 9:00 p.m. PDT which will have minimal external impact. We’re confident these changes will improve our services and help us meet the growing demands of our customers.

    Impact to your business during the migration

    During the time of this upgrade, there will be a system-wide interruption to PayPal, including but not limited to the following:

    · PayPal’s website, http://www.paypal.com will be unavailable and accountholders will not be able to log into their account. In addition, most consumers will receive an error message when attempting to checkout using PayPal.

    · Most of the PayPal API calls attempted during the upgrade will fail with a 10001 (internal error) response. Some Authorizations and Sale transactions via Direct Payment API calls may successfully complete but merchants may also see result codes 104,102 and 1000 returned. When these result codes are returned, it is recommended that the merchant review their PayPal account prior to resubmitting the transaction. Any type of Referenced Transaction calls for all PayPal API calls (Delayed Capture, Refund, Reference Transaction and Void calls) will fail with a 10001 response.

    · Adaptive Payment API calls will not be supported during this upgrade and will fail with a 520002 (internal error) response.

    · Batch processing services will be unavailable during this upgrade. If batch requests are submitted when the service is unavailable, the processing will be delayed.

    · Transactions created prior to March 19 will not be available between 9:00 p.m. PDT and 11 p.m. PDT. This data will be missing from History in the PayPal account and cannot be accessed to process a delayed capture, void, refund or referenced transaction. Attempts to reference a transaction created prior to March 19th via an API call will result in a 10001 (internal error) response.

    · Merchant Reports for the Eastern & Pacific time zones for April 19 activity, which will be created on April 20, may have a delayed delivery. There is no significant delay expected for Settlement Withdrawal. Auto Sweep will be put on hold on April 19 and depending when batch services are resumed, it may be run early morning on April 20. The PayPal SFTP drop box will not be available during the upgrade.

16. Payment processing problems today between 8:59 am to 11:30 am EST

    Our hosting company had some equipment configuration problems today which resulted in payment errors for some clients. Basically, secure Https traffic was not directed to the right servers. This was not the case for everyone, it depended on what particular web server happened to be handling your transaction.

    We have been working with them to fix it and payments are processing OK since 11:30 am.

17. Character | in event title or location can lead to incorrect online payment record from Authorize.Net

    We have discovered a bug when a character | (vertical separator) is used in the event title. Since this character is used by Authorize.Net as field separator, our system receives incorrect set of fields in the Authorize.Net payment confirmation. This can cause online payment to be not recorded or recorded with a wrong amount in Wild Apricot (even though the correct amount was charged)

    For now, please avoid using it in event titles, event location, membership level names and any extra charges. In fact, ideally avoid using it in any fields except for text descriptions fields.

    We expect this to be fixed in the next few days.

18. Hardware maintenance Jan 27th 1 am EST

    We are ramping up our hosting infrastructure (servers/firewalls/switches etc) to increase the speed and reliability of Wild Apricot system.

    Installation and configuration of some additional hardware will be performed on Jan 27th at 1am EST - the night of Thursday to Friday.

    Total maintenance window is scheduled to be up to 1 hour. Any users would be disconnected and lose their session data (e.g. application forms/registration forms/email or page edits etc.).

    We recommend saving your work and logging off for the full duration of maintenance window.
