I figured it out - looks like not all you page templates or pages' footer are updated. When you open https://risingharvestfarms17.wildapricot.org/email-list-sign-up, it gives 404 page and when you scroll to the bottom of this page and click on +Sign-up, you will see the wrong link

Our basic approach will be simple: we will be releasing updates to some of "old" themes to make them responsive, but they will be separate from original ones. Admins will have to "switch theme" to have a new one. We will also update the theme switching process to allow preview the changes, smoothly move custom CSS, make page updates, etc. before publishing all live.
This is a short summary. We're currently working on it and as soon as we're ready with the first theme update (it's going to be Treehouse) and mentioned changes, we will be notifying our clients in details.

And, ideally, leave a comment in this Wishlist thread - http://forums.wildapricot.com/forums/308932-wishlist/suggestions/8826097-ability-to-preview-changes-to-theme-header-css-b - so we can prioritize this change higher in our roadmap and finally create proper tool for such redesigns in future.

No bible. After releasing version 5, where we introduced new CMS module, we're slowly introducing new themes, that are designed much better. Older themes, unfortunately, are still hard to customize.

Contact support, ask them to prepare "clone" version of your site. You can work on the new design on this site and then when everything is ready move all your work into live site (manually).

No, not possible - but I will forward this to my colleague, who is working now on extending blog and forum access permissions setup on groups too. As soon as we have this feature released, your request will be addressed automatically.
For now, I would recommend just not use Forum Summary gadget.

The Excel file is just an example of API usage and anyone is free to take it and change in a way you want it to be.

That is definitely possible with API, and the sample Excel file we provide does support some filtering - http://help.wildapricot.com/display/DOC/Wild+Apricot+API#WildApricotAPI-Filteringthesearchresults
You can change it and add more options, as API itself support quite sophisticated filtering system - see http://help.wildapricot.com/display/DOC/Contacts+API+call#ContactsAPIcall-FilteringAPIresults - but it would require changing the Excel file Visual Basic program code.
Unfortunately, we do not support our sample Excel file and do not provide services to change this code for you, but this should be quite easy for anyone with a little knowledge of programming in Visual Basic. The code in the Excel file just leverage API filtering abilities, so you can do any kind of filtering.
May be, someone else here in the forum will be able to help you with that.

The text is "hardcoded" (unfortunately), so there is no way you can change it using Theme overrides templates. That is why the only way is to use JS workaround - write some code that will find proper HTML node and change the text to proper one.

In current WA version you will have to use this workaround: a) create invisible page b) add the page you need to hide from menu as a subpage to the invisible one. After that, you can reference the subpage by direct link, it will not be shown in menu.
In the next release 5.0 we are adding direct ability to control if a page should be shown or hidden in menu.

Basically, you need to place this code into AreaUnderMenu.tpl file:
<$Layouts/LoginBox()$>
This would render login gadget in this place (this code orders WA theme overrides engine to render template file of login gadget - it can be found at Gadgets\Login.Box folder - see more at http://help.wildapricot.com/display/DOC/Theme+files+language+syntax ).
Then, you will have to delete it from original place. Open Layouts/LayoutsTemplate.tpl file and find the same line of code there, then delete.
Please note that Theme Overrides functionality is only intended for experienced web designers.

Nice! I would suggest adding some graphics near "About" menu item, so it's clear that there are subitems in it.
