I agree. It would be nice to have the option for members to unsubscribe from all emails.

One recent example. One of our members moved and didn't want to receive emails. So, he unsubscribed from an event email. He then unsubscribed from a following newsletter. He then received two renewal reminders from us. From his point of view, that's frustrating. He had to email us to stop receiving emails.

One solution: All unsubscribe email links go to one unsubscribe page. There, a contact can select some or all types of emails from which to unsubscribe (events, newsletters, system emails/renewals).

We have started analysis for this issue, and it seems that key problem is how Wild Apricot handles level changes close to renewal date. The system is currently designed to collect the full new level amount and set renewal date according to new level renewal policy. All prepaid amounts for old levels are disposed. Moreover, since no prorating occurs, the new level might be effective only for a few days.

As a first step, we suggest to redesign how level change is working and add prorating there:

    - Level would be changed immediately, as now - Remaining portion of old membership level payment will be applied to new level - For new levels with specific renewal date (e.g. annual levels with renewals Jan 1st) apply the pro-rating settings for new applications: - Allow member to pay only a pro-rated amount of the new level fee (e.g. six months before renewal…

We too would love a way to do this.

    What we'd like:

If a member were to change levels, it's treated like a renewal. For example: someone has a "regular membership" that expires Dec 31 2013. On November 30th 2013, they want to renew and get the "student membership". Currently, they won't get the renewal emails (but the uncustomizable "membership level change" email). Their new expiration date will be Nov 30th, 2014 (they "lose" a month of membership).

What we want is for their actions to be treated as a renewal (or at least be able to customize the "membership level change" email), and, importantly, have their new expiration date be Dec 21, 2014. Right now we have to do these adjustments manually.

Thanks for all the hard work!

We would love an opportunity to customize the email sent after a membership level change.

Just like when a member renews, we would like to thank them, and let them know about all the great stuff they signed up.

We also have admins that keep track of these emails to glean important details for other club functions. As such, we need to add customized information into the email (like renewal date, address, etc).

    Thanks!
