Our sailing club has used Googlegroups and we have just migrated our membership and website to WA. The discussion forum with immediate email notification essentially does the same as Googlegroups or Yahoo Groups but I am struggling to persuade our members to change. I see two major obstacles which if addressed by WA would reduce this barrier.
1 The need to login. We don't like the idea of people staying logged in because it leaves personal information vulnerable. It would be nice if it was possible to remain logged in just the forum or just view the post that you received an email notification.
2 Members have to subscribe to a forum and the admin cannot change this. We would prefer to subscribe everyone and then they elect to unsubscribe as in all other email notifications.
