We moved from another website provider to WA and our #1 membership complaint has been this limited forum functionality. The way it currently works is a huge UX road block from forums being used by our membership, as others have mentioned.
The fear of overloading your servers seems like a false-barrier when your competition has been doing it for decades - which I know because we switched from them (clubexpress) to your platform to only find this limitation is really frustrating our membership.

Even though it is not a direct implementation, I hope this could be helpful:
We just launched integration with Integromat platform, which helps to build automated workflows. We also provide several templates for quick start, and one of them allows to copy google calendar events into WA events. So if you share a google calendar for events submission, then the scenario could copy submitted events into your Wild Apricot account.
You can try this integration by this link https://www.integromat.com/en/integration/2275-copy-google-calendar-into-wild-apricot-eventsAn error occurred while saving the comment GGTC Web Director commentedThis is fundamental need for our organization. Is there any timing on instituting this functionality?

@Dmitry Smirnov this is basic website forum function that's been around since the advent of the website forum in the 1990s.
I don't see mobile solutions anywhere near the 222 votes and 148 comments (dating YEARS back) asking for listserv.
My suggestion is this: listen to your client feedback and get the basics right first.
Quite frankly my members are having a bit of buyer's remorse over switching to Wild Apricot from ClubExpress because ClubExpress got basic features like these implemented.
