This is an essential need and should be addressed by Wild Apricot immediately. This thread is six years old, and the need for an opt-in to recurring (or opt-out if recurring is default membership method) is clearly needed by WA customers. We also need an email sent to recurring members before renewal, so they aren't surprised by the charge to their credit card. Should be part of WA's Best Practices solutions.
