I would like to see improved tools for embedding pdf in member emails.
One of my clients had sent me their agm package in a pdf. The reports included financials in spreadsheet format and some user images.
I converted the file to word format and tried copying and pasting the sections into an email for distribution.
The major problem is when aggregating documents into a WA email you are faced with the compositing skills of the submitting parties. Some understand how to use ordered lists.... others do not.
As such copying and pasting sections realizes various formats especially after WA cleans up the html. Allowing me to use the pdf where all the format hacking is already done would be a useful solution.
The other issue is that the email formatting tools are limiting. I understand why but the reality is that one submitter uses a 2 column format with images randomly placed in a way that the email editor cannot solve. You need to add mixed content boxes including text and image where the text flows around an image to be competitive with other bulk mail providers.
