This functionality is important to us on a number of levels:
1) It enables us to ensure the right people end up in the right session and helps reduce 'Session selection remorse'
2) Sometimes a staff member at one of our member organizations will sign up for an event but does not have their supervisor's permission to do so
3) This functionality also enables us to ensure that those registering for an event cannot take up valuable seats in a session only to pull out later for non-payment. They must first pay and then once payment is approved - then they can gain access to the session selections.
I should also say that I am a trial user - and this functionality is a deal-breaker for us selecting Wild Apricot. eTouches has it and we may have to go for that since I see this request is now several years old here.
