3. How can I remove certain tabs in the "My Profile" page?

   Our company wants to use the WA website as little as possible so as to funnel most people through our main website. We want to strip down as much as can lead to confusion as possible in the WA website.

   We wish to remove three tabs in the "My Profile" page which we have no use for and will just confuse our members. We only want to keep "My Profile" and "Invoices and Payments"

   I have a good understanding of CSS but since I cannot see the code in front of me, I do not want to risk executing the wrong command and doing something I do not want to. What should I enter in the CSS customization part in Admin View that will allow me to remove those tabs?

4. Horizontal Menu - Change Font Size

   Currently building our new site. We picked a theme that we like, however, we want the main horizontal menu bar to have a smaller font so that it fits more of our pages on the menu (and not hidden in the additional drop-down). Is a theme override really the only way to adjust the font smaller? We are using the Bookshelf Textbook theme, but would prefer to have the menu bar that's more similar to the Granite theme.

   Is there a straightforward way to make this change? Thanks in advance.

5. Login Button Link Color

   Hi All,

   I don't know CSS and there's one thing I want to change on my site: the font color in the login button gadget. I feel like I should be able to do this with the advanced settings in the gadget but I don't know how! I've read all the KB articles on customizing with CSS, customizing gadgets, etc and understanding CSS is a prerequisite.

6. Aesthetic request -- Directory gadget display

   On the directory gadget, if you use the simple filters they are right smack up against the search box which appears after the filters. There isn't any space between the two and it looks very cramped. Can you add a little margin between them?

   I've tried some of the proposed rss feed widgets offered in other posts, but none of them seem to work very well in WA.

9. Change text on "Renew until..." button in Profile

   Is it possible to change the text that is currently being displayed in the "Renew Until" button showing on our member profiles?

   For example, a member has a "Renewal due on" date of 01 Jul 2014. On her profile page, there is a button that says "Renew until 01 Jul 2015". I'd like to change the button to say something like "Pay dues through 01 Jul 2015" .

   I've used the Global Scripts change the label on the "Send Message" button. Is there similar code for this button?

11. Customizing Gadget Box colors

    Greetings,

    I'm trying to customize the outline box, Gadget title color and gadget link colors for two gadgets that I'm displaying on my home page. I've poked around a wee bit on the "Colors & Styles" page, but I can't seem to locate the correct place to update Gadgets (am I even looking in the right place?).

    My current visual theme = Aurora - Horizontal - Red

    Widgets to be updated = Events and Blog Posts

    Widget Theme Style = 1

    If someone could point me in the correct direction, that would be great.

    Is there a way to remove, or move, the image count display in the PHoto Album title?

14. Make a Parent Menu That Has Children Non-Clickable

    I found this Help page that outlines exactly what I need to do:

    But I cannot get the execution to yield the correct results. The link says to copy and paste the CSS script into the 'Global javascript' section. Easy enough. Then I am supposed to add the PageID into the second to last line of code where the copied script currently has ("12345"). So, let's say the PageID that I want to hide is 1689200. So does my code look like this:

    disableLink("#PAGEID_1689188");

    or without quotes:

    disableLink(#PAGEID_1689188);

    or without the PAGEID prefix:

    disableLink("1689188"); OR disableLink(1689188);

    I am using the Aurora Horizontal Red template. I have no other code in the Global Javascript. But nothing I do disables that first level parent link. It still allows the user to click on it instead of forcing them to use one of the underlying 2nd level child links.

    Hi,

    I'm new to Wild Apricot and am using Widgets to add functionality into my business site. I'm close to getting ready to launch soon. I cannot figure out how to resize or change the background color using the widgets codes.

    Here is my website where you can see the black background and the widget doesn't fill nearly enough of the available space. I don't want people to have to scroll through the information.

    The first thing you see when you click the blog menu is the blog snippet preview that displays the first few lines of each blog in a list.

    Is it possible to adjust the height of each blog snippet? My organization uses a blog to post its recent activities, and each blog article features a short intro, photos then a full-length write-up. Under the current setting, the blog preview snippet displays the intro and the top 10-30% of the ensuing photos. The top 10-30% usually means the ceilings or various venues where our events took place. If we could increase the height of the blog snippet, it will convey more detail to the readers even before they jump to individual blog.

    Hello,

    I'm relatively new to WA and new to the forum and have been unsuccessful finding the answer to this question here. Perhaps someone could kindly answer for me: Is there a way to insert PHP pages into WA, maybe via iframes or something similar?,

    I have a database that needs to serve a collection of PDF files to my WA site users, and the best way to do this would be to have a page inserted into the normal WA site that contains PHP code. I know you can add HTML and Javascript, but can PHP pages be used? If not, is there a workaround?

20. Hi Designers and Developers - Introduce yourself

    It's no secret that Wild Apricot has many tools for associations and other organizations, but what isn't so well known is that we have a growing set of tools for designers and developers to create beautiful websites for all these associations and organizations.

    But we're changing that today with the launch of the "For Designers and Developers" forum (formerly the "Customization" forum ).

    And the title really says it all, this is forum is specifically for designers and developers to:
    * Share design tips and tricks
    * Showcase their designs
    * Suggest Improvements to our design tools
    * ... and anything else you think fits here.

    And like all forums our team will be actively participating in these discussions as well as publishing regular design oriented tutorials.

    But as the Community Manager, I'll also be especially involved in this forum to make sure designers and developers working with Wild Apricot have all the resources they need.

    So if you haven't yet please introduce yourself below :)
