No, the problem is that the slideshow gadget's image container is not elastic. i.e., it doesn't stretch to fit any size image, it only has a few aspect ratios to choose from. If you have an image that is very wide but not very tall, or vice versa, the slideshow gadget will add "letterbox" bars above/below or to right/left in order to display the images within the fixed aspect ratio container. A rotating banner in the header of a website will likely not be a 16:9 aspect ratio. Same with a rotating ad banner on a sidebar which might be tall and skinny. Does that make sense?

I'll put in a vote to have a trial membership capability. It would need to be flexible so that you could set if for as little as one day -- sort of a sneak peek.

The problem with your discount code approach, if I understand it correctly, is that it assumes a monthly renewal period for regular (paid) members. If the organization has an annual renewal, then a 100% discount would give them an entire year free.

If, on the other hand, you create a special membership level called "Trial Member" that expires in one month, then when it expires they are prompted to renew but as what -- a monthly "Trial Member"? And what cost? That doesn't make sense.

So I don't think a discount code works if your memberships are annual, only monthly. Furthermore, sometimes a free month is too long. I have a client who would like to offer a 24-hour free trial.
