My organization has hosted multiple monthly discussion groups for a couple of years now. It's easiest for us to set them up as long term recurring events, but then the event details page becomes completely cluttered with the long list of past sessions. Site users have to scroll down the entire list just to find the Register button. We don't want to delete past sessions, because we keep a historical calendar of all our events. There really should be a way to hide old sessions from the list view or at least limit the number of sessions that appear at once centered around the next upcoming session.
