1. Overall File Storage Limit

   I would love for the Storage Limit to be much larger. I would pay more $ for more space. I'm talking 10 to 25 GB. 1000 MB is not enough for business like mine to share larger documents, presentations, PDF's. Right now I am paying Dropbox.com for space for me and my colleagues to share information. That is $ you guys could be making. Maybe you guys can team up with Dropbox and profit off each other. Just a thought.

3. Is it possible to adjust height of each blog snippet preview in the blog list view?

   The first thing you see when you click the blog menu is the blog snippet preview that displays the first few lines of each blog in a list.

   Is it possible to adjust the height of each blog snippet? My organization uses a blog to post its recent activities, and each blog article features a short intro, photos then a full-length write-up. Under the current setting, the blog preview snippet displays the intro and the top 10-30% of the ensuing photos. The top 10-30% usually means the ceilings or various venues where our events took place. If we could increase the height of the blog snippet, it will convey more detail to the readers even before they jump to individual blog.

6. Inserting PHP pages

   Hello,

   I'm relatively new to WA and new to the forum and have been unsuccessful finding the answer to this question here. Perhaps someone could kindly answer for me: Is there a way to insert PHP pages into WA, maybe via iframes or something similar?,

   I have a database that needs to serve a collection of PDF files to my WA site users, and the best way to do this would be to have a page inserted into the normal WA site that contains PHP code. I know you can add HTML and Javascript, but can PHP pages be used? If not, is there a workaround?

8. Hi Designers and Developers - Introduce yourself

   It's no secret that Wild Apricot has many tools for associations and other organizations, but what isn't so well known is that we have a growing set of tools for designers and developers to create beautiful websites for all these associations and organizations.

   But we're changing that today with the launch of the "For Designers and Developers" forum (formerly the "Customization" forum ).

   And the title really says it all, this is forum is specifically for designers and developers to:
   * Share design tips and tricks
   * Showcase their designs
   * Suggest Improvements to our design tools
   * ... and anything else you think fits here.

   And like all forums our team will be actively participating in these discussions as well as publishing regular design oriented tutorials.

   But as the Community Manager, I'll also be especially involved in this forum to make sure designers and developers working with Wild Apricot have all the resources they need.

   So if you haven't yet please introduce yourself below :)

9. Javascript Libraries

   I am wondering if WA works with an External Javascript Library/Framework (i.e. jQuery, Spry, etc.).

   I already added the library I need to the site via the Global Javascript Settings, but it does not provide the intended functionality. it seems that the library does not work with WA.

   I need to create a custom menu for my client. I have used the Theme Overrides and modified the appropriate String Template files to achieve the custom menu structure that I need. However, when I apply the Spry Framework that is needed to create the menu functionality, it breaks.

   My question is how can this framework not work within WA when it works within every other CMS out there?

    We have pretty much perfected a process that will allow for Wild Apricot sites to feature and support multiple languages. Wait we are not talking about translating content, rather hiding pages from one language from being seen or navigable via the nav while the user has toggled a language option. When we install and customize our code to your Wild Apricot site, we are able to hide French language pages from displaying when the user clicks the toggle to English for example.

    We're want to create more resources for anyone who designs sites on top of Wild Apricot. But as always we're looking to get your input first.
    To get the ball rolling here are some ideas we've been thinking about.
    1) Wild Apricot Web Designer Guide (online/e-book) - A detailed guide to all the structural CSS elements of a page, including a cookbook (recipe) approach to customizations. 2) Wild Apricot 'Designer Community' (online only) - Move all customization/design resources to a new location (i.e., outside of forums and help) built just for designers to discuss, share and learn different techniques for designing sites inside Wild Apricot. Do you like one of these? Do you have something else in mind? Tell us!

13. I've never seen a system so difficult to customize

    I am a designer and have been trying for three days to make my layout look like the client's site.

    WA site: members.wbninc.com

    The code is so completely convoluted and bloated, I still can't figure out why my page and contents (including my header image when I put it in there) are being resized smaller. I can't get rid of the insane padding around the page content.

    Isn't there a way to start with practically nothing and build from there, instead of having to strip out tons of css?

    Has anyone figured out how to put content under the header (the image I have on the design).

14. Please share your Wild Apricot websites with cool design or features

    I would love to see more examples of what people have done with their pages. It is stoo hard to comb through the posts to find those who have given their websites to you guys. Seeing examples really helps me get ideas and it also shows the capability of the system. It would be nice if you created a section in the forum for people to showcase their websites.

15. Moving the Register button up on repeated event page?

    Is it possible to move the Register button above the list of sessions on a repeated Event page?

19. Forum Gadget - Initial forum description should be part of forum topic

    It seems that every other forum I have used always lists the initial description with the title of the Forum Topic at the top. Replies to the topic are listed below. Your own WA support forums work that way!!

    The current forum gadget treats the initial description the same as one of the replies, so that it may appear at the top or bottom . depending on your settings. This is a problem and should be fixed.
