Wild Apricot is moving to Amazon Web Services on July 4, 2017
Wild Apricot is switching cloud platforms, moving to Amazon Web Services (AWS) on July 4th, 2017, beginning at 2:00 AM (ET). We chose AWS based on their worldwide reputation for being the fastest and most reliable cloud platform available.
The migration will begin at 2AM (ET) on July 4th. We anticipate only 15 minutes of downtime but there could be brief interruptions during the hours that follow.
Apart from improved performance, this move will have no effect on your Wild Apricot site. Your site should appear just as it did before.
If you’re using a custom domain name for your Wild Apricot site, you’ll need to get the DNS settings for your custom domain updated to point to our new IP address. You can’t do this before the migration on July 4th, but you can get prepared to make the change. We’ll be keeping our old IP address for 2 months (until September 4th) to give clients with custom domains plenty of time to contact their domain name provider and make the change.
Around July 5th or 6th, we will email all full administrators our new IP address, and instructions on switching IP addresses. You can then ask your domain name provider to update your DNS settings to point to our new IP address, or do it yourself.
