we would also love to be able to push the calendar information automatically to our Facebook group and would like to vote up this feature request.

We'd like the ability to by default to sign up members for certain forums. If they want to unsubscribe, great, but start them out subscribed.

We'd also the ability for admins to change the settings; example, we ask the board members to be subscribe to the board forum but some forget and the admins can't alter member forum settings.

    We'd like these features.

Jim, I'd really like to see this as a feature -- the ability to bulk-set all the members to be subscribed to the Member Forum. This would be the preferred default, then if the members did not want it, they could unsubscribe. The way it is now, we have to rely on them going to the site, and hitting subscribe, which most of then cannot be relied on to do, even thought they would welcome the regular updates. I'd like to see this on the Roadmap. thanks

I second second the request. We want one calendar but have different types of events and would like to somehow distinguish them and make them sortable by the user, for instance, regular meetings, board meetings, special events, etc.

    Team Husky responded

    Sorry for the late update.

The first step was finished and emails can now be carbon copied to contact’s alternative emails. To do so the contact fields which store the alternative emails must be explicitly marked on the email setting page.

Unsubscribing will unsubscribe all alternative emails simultaneously because they all belong to the very same account. The person clicking “unsubscribe” is warned about this on the unsubscribe page.

For now we paused the development of this feature. but not for good. :) So I’m changing this wish status back to “collecting comments”.

Thank you everyone for a valuable feedback.

We struggled with this mightily and here's what we came up with. Three membership levels:

Regular Member, 2nd Member in Household, Couple Shared Email.

We charge $20 for member, $5 for the 2nd member in household and $25 for Couple Shared Email. The downside for Couple Shared Email is they have a common profile "Bill and Sandra" as first name or whatever. But this was the best we could come up with.... The 2nd Member in Household works fine and allows us to keep our dues structure whereby the couple fee is less than the cost of two singles.

I would like to be able to see the whole membership in the Admin side without the 3 groups being segregated but that's a minor detail.

    Hope this is helpful.

Twice this year less-experienced admins in our group have hit the wrong button and caused trouble.

One removed a bunch of "contact" database fields, thinking these would affect only contacts and not "members". Alas, we had to spend hours restoring our database and the member profile photos were lost for good.

Another occasion a first-time web page editor, adding links to documents, added the same one twice and clicked that little innocent little green button "delete page". Out went the entire webpage, a carefully constructed archive, instead of the document he intende to delete.

A Backup feature for Member/Contact Database and Web pages is highly desired. I would be happy to be able to store and recover just a single backup.

In cases like this a backup would be a real life saver. If you have ever suffered similar consequences, or fear you might, reply here and vote this wishlist feature up.
