1. Provide a 'subscribe to our newsletter' at the same time new contacts enter their email address on the sign up page.

   Rather than log in and visit a subscription gadget, the new contact can check a box right after they enter their email address. This would be ideal. Very few new contacts will log in and search for the 'subscribe to our newsletter' gadget elsewhere on the website.

4. Ability to Include "Share" buttons and Social Icons in Email Templates

   Our team regularly sends out email blasts using WA, but one thing that really would make a difference for us that does not currently seem to be available is the ability to add in social media buttons, such as a Facebook "Share" or just social icons in general, to any part of an email template, as well as the option to be able to share the email in its entirety via email or social media. One example that is currently out there is MailChimp which, for instance, allows one to drag in a social widget into their email's footer if they should find this useful.    Further, we envision/hope for some way that we can include the sharing tools in individual sections of an email in a way that only the section at hand can be shared, if desired.

   This would be a huge step in terms of marketing and take sending out emails to a whole other level, and we truly hope the team at Wild Apricot will consider adding these types of features.

5. Webmail hosted by wild apricot

   Would like to be able to host my email with my wild apricot paid account, instead of having to pay a separate service for domain and email addresses

6. A/B testing of email newsletters

   WildApricot emails do have an open & link tracking system in emails to contacts.. however, after you've spent the time and detail to get your email to members just right, ENSURE YOUR CAMPAIGN GETS THE BEST POSSIBLE RESPONSE by involving at least some measure of testing.

   An A/B email testing will ensure your emails perform better!

   This works by sending 2 emails (aka "A" and "B") to test the highest open rate, engagement, etc. After automatically testing to 10%, the winning email with greatest success is sent to all members!

   The 50-50..... What is it?

   A style of test where you send version A to 50% of your list and version B to the other 50% of your list.

   When should you use it?.... Use a 50-50 test when you’re testing emails you send frequently such as newsletters, daily/weekly/monthly digests, product announcements, or sale alerts. Use this type of test when you are looking for results that you will reuse again and again.

   The 10-10-80..... What is it?

   Another style of test when you send A to 10% of your list, B to 10% get a confident result and send the winner to the remaining 80% of list.... When should you use it?

   The 10-10-80 is useful whenever you want to test an element of an email that’s part of a time sensitive campaign, AND you have a very large list.

   Say you’re planning a marketing campaign with 5 emails that you’ll send to your entire list. This is the perfect scenario for a 10-10-80 because you want to get quick results on which elements are performing best so you can apply those lessons on the remaining campaign emails. 7. emails: choose a list of contacts and then manually be able to delete or add individual contacts to that list

   Many many things. But one is the following. When sending an email blast I would like to be able to choose a list of contacts and then manually be able to delete or add individual contacts to that list. There might be someone who is in a list I made of donors that have donated since 2012 that I do not want to email this time. I can't seem to do that currently.

   Allow saved email drafts and newsletters to be viewed by other admins for approval before being sent out. Also, to allow another admin to send out an email created by someone different.
   For example:
   
   1. Our newsletters need to be reviewed and approved before being sent out.
   2. We should be able to create an email blast and save it so someone else can send it, such as when preparing to go on vacation, or when another person needs to make edits.
   
   3. There should be special admin permissions set up, so not just any admin can read or send out other people's emails or newsletters.

9. Bundle e-mails

   Being able to send e-mails to everyone in a family bundle. Now we only send member announcements to the administrator of the bundle but it is up to them to pass the information along. So many people have their own e-mails and devices they prefer to get them directly

    I have just subscribed to something and there was a message which would be good to put on this site with the option to 'unsubscribe' to email blasts, It is very friendly.

    You can unsubscribe at any time (but we'll be sad to see you go!)

13. Integrate Email System with Social Media so announcements automatically post to Facebook & Twitter

    It would be wonderful to have your email system offer the feature to automatically post email announcements to Facebook and Twitter. We recently switched from a free Mailchimp account to Wild Apricot and miss many of the features that Mailchimp's email system offered over WA. Basic integration with social media is a key feature needed in today's world. Please add an automated workflow between email and social media. Thanks!

14. Email log usability issues

    Hello,
    I am using this method to contact you because I lost the email you sent me.

    Several weeks ago, I partook in one of your customer experience feedback survey. You replied to me to give you more specific information regarding email management within Wild Apricot. Finally, after not following up on it for weeks. I would like to give you specific feedback. Here it is:

    First- When I go in email log, it always gives me a search range (dates) that is up to 9 days ago. Thus, I can never see the emails of the day unless I modify the range. Also, if I do a search of emails, the last week does not show up unless I think about changing the range. This is quite frustrating.

    Second- when I do a search in email log (same in member list). I write the word I am looking for. The search engine gives me result as I type. Then, I press enter (like any other search engine, pressing enter is now a learned reflex) and ALL THE RESULTS RESET and I lose the info I was looking for. I need to retype the info and restart the search. This is quite annoying.

    Third- When I copy/paste information in an email template, the template automatically adds or takes off line spaces. There is no way to fix that with the email template editor. I need to either go play in the HTML or use Pages from Apple and copy/paste from there (for some reason, when copying from Pages, this issue does not happen as much).

    Fourth often the font size looks the same in the email editor, but once I send a test email, it is of different size.

    Fifth it is quite difficult to add any variety to an email. If I want to add tables, create sub-sections to an email, add pictures in one specific location, all of this is extremely difficult if not impossible without CSS or HTML. This is also true for background colors. The email is divided in multiple sections and even when choosing all background color, only one section is colored (or some section do not get colored). Then, it is a cat and mouse game to try to find the right spot to click on and add colors. This is very frustrating, especially considering the limited amount of background colors available and the necessity to use HEX code to add an interesting color (which means I need to search for the right code).

    Thanks for taking the time to ask about how to improve Wild Apricot. I know that most of the feedback given is about small details. However, the functionalities I have described above are available in the great majority of Apps, platforms and websites.

15. Make typography of emails match typography of the website

    When composing emails, the fonts and sizes of the various styles: Heading 1..., body, whatever, don't match the typography set up as the default for the website. So a Heading 1 on the website itself might be Verdana 18 pt Red, but in an email it might be Times Roman (uuggghh!) 18 pt Black.

    Could the typography in the Emails match that of the website?

16. push failed emails

    Display a direct link/summary of failed email addresses in the in the Dashboard Summary screen. Currently, it appears that the only way to track/resolve bad email addresses for members is to remember to check the email log and look up the information manually. A reminder/summary in the Dashboard Summary would make this much easier and avoid bad email addresses being overlooked, since it appears there is no other "up front" way to notice them without having to go into the email log or a member's record.

17. Event Email Reminders required group selection

    When duplicating an event - also duplicate the list the emails reminders are to be sent to. Monthly committee meetings always have the same group. Or require a group selection vs. reminders automatically going to the whole membership or contact list.

19. More opt-out/opt-in choices on event announcements

    Currently, contacts have three choices on e-mail delivery: event announcement, e-mail blasts, and workflow e-mails. I send all three event announcements so that I can send an early one, mid-range in time, and last reminder. However, some of our members wish they could cut back on these and only get the first one. That's fine with me but I don't see any way to do this. Event announcements are a subscribe/unsubscribe choice. It would be great if we could have a subcategory of this where we could indicate which event announcements a person signs up for. Then, I could just set that choice for them and they'll get one announcement only. Perhaps the default could be all three announcements and I could just manually uncheck a box for 2nd and 3rd announcement for that person.

20. Overhaul WA HTML e-Mail to send out REAL HTML standard

    A while ago I realized why my RESPONSIVE HTML e-Mails weren't responsive: I found out that the Wild Apricot eMail System does not send out WW3 confirm HTML eMails, as it "cleans" all HTML code from the templates that are not inside the <body> tag while sending it out.

    This is a real problem because eMail clients like Apple Mail and others totally depend on the correct DOC Type and <meta> tag structure and content to correctly display HTML and give the viewing device the chance to arrange the layout according to the designer's CSS code. Without the complete HTML structure ---> no correct layout.

    It might be that this wasn't recognized by anybody because standard templates look "as if" they are "ok" but when it comes to fully responsive eMail design the Wild Apricot standards do cut off that functionality.

    I want to give my customers full viewing pleasure on any mobile device, so I want WA to adapt to current web standards and provide full HTML structured eMails instead of their preproriary eMailer code…
