Event tags are too easily added by anyone setting up an event (BBQ, cookout, kitchen,etc) Having them pre-setup in preferences, so that event creators (select not add) from a system list would correct this. We currently have over 50 tags and cannot delete them without going back thru previous events and removing errant superfluous tags.
Please allow Admin to remove tags from the event tag box. It is totally unacceptable that this cannot be an easy fix.

"If you want to remove the tag completely, so it does not show up on your tag list (a tag might be no longer used or misspelled), you have to go into every event that has this tag assigned and remove it one by one."

This would be a great function to delete as historic Admin's have dated Tags and these are no longer valid
